W1: TUTORIAL – Students responsibilities, assignments & assessment methods

In class, I learned about the module, the E-portfolio, and how to proceed with the first assignment, the collage. I hope to be able to utilize the knowledge I gained from the Design Principles class I took in the first semester.

Week2

 I made a collage using materials I found lying around my room. I watched a video to help me and cut out the background paper and main object from unused paper I had in my room. Normally cut out things from posters or magazines, but I didn't know what kind of magazines would be good, so I just made it with what I had. 

Week3 

This week we learned about digital collage. We made three posters using materials provided in class.

I created three posters with different compositions. The first poster is a simple design with just some cut out objects. The second poster has people arranged like a diorama, creating an interesting composition. The third poster uses the golden ratio to create a beautiful arrangement of objects.

It can also visually convey themes such as light and darkness, joy and sadness. I am interested in it because I think I can express it even though I am not good at drawing.
