Sketch
Fig 1.1 Sketch
I wrote down some ideas I had in my mind in a simple notebook. I'm going to start making posters with the theme of the fusion of technology and art.
Fig 1.2 Sketch Character Outline
I actually tried creating a character. I decided on a deformed human form to create an easy-to-understand design.
Fig 1.3 digital sketch
I created the lineart of the character. I'm going to save it so I can color it later.
Fig 1.4 digital sketch2
I'm going to move on to the phase of creating other objects and deciding the layout. Once the general layout is decided, I'll add color.
Fig 1.5 layout
Line up several people, place letters in the middle and a hole at the top.
Colouring
First, let's start with the background. I'm going to use a dark color scheme with blue as the base. I'll create a sense of depth by making the center of the screen black. Next, I drew a light path in the center of the hole so that light is pouring into a dark space. I used the free gradient function to create a gradient and was able to create detailed shading. Next is character I increased the number of people before coloring them. Again, I used free gradient, giving the goggles a shiny metallic gradient, and for the body color scheme, I put highlights on the head and heart. Finally, I wanted the color scheme of the letters to look like neon lights, so I created three letters, one with a Gaussian blur, one with thick blue letters, and one with white letters for the highlights, and by layering the three, I created letters that look like neon lights.
Completion of the poster
techniques that I could use. I'm not good at painting, so I used gradients a lot this time. The free gradient function was particularly useful, and it was very comfortable to control what to emphasize and what to shade. Since the theme this time was he future, I focused on the Meta world, which I have been interested in recently, and tried to draw a world from the outside where people in the future are all wearing VR goggles, cut off from the real world, and immersed in formless data. In that world, in contrast to the glamorous Meta world, it is dark and quiet, the body has no meaning, and we are simply immersed in the world of data sent from radio waves. The hole through which light shines at the top of the poster is a hole that connects the Meta world to the real world, suggesting that the Internet is indeed an underground culture.
